In and around Lourdata

Parallel to the beach there are a variety of tavernas and bars to enjoy leisurely meals or to take pleasure in a cool drink or delicious ice cream whilst soaking up the sun and glorious views. Many of the tavernas grow their own vegetables along the sea front subsequently ensuring the freshest of ingredients.
The surrounding area
Due to the situation of the resort there is no passing traffic therefore it is quiet and clean. Grown up and around the original village, Lourdata has spread up the hillside to Vlachata which is on the main Argostoli/Skala road and so a perfect position for exploring the island and only around 25 minutes from the airport.
The road between Lourdata and the main road has a choice of restaurants and supermarkets. Part of the way up this road there is a huge Plane Tree and small village square where the old wash house is located. Often the meeting place for locals a Kafenion, (a traditional Greek café) has been built around the tree. A perfect place for a coffee or drink as the uniqueness of this spot allows you to dream of time gone by – and the sea views are superb as well.
