Stunning location and idyllic villa

We had an amazing stay at villa Petrino. Kefalonia and the villa were everything I had imagined and hoped for. After a slight hiccup upon arrival at the airport with the hire car we were soon sorted and on our way. One suggestion - wherever possible don't arrive at night. Not having visited Kefalonia before we were unfamiliar with the numerous hairpin bends and the equally numerous goats on the raods!! Whilst the directions were great and we found the villa, amazingly without getting lost, I somehow think we missed some stunning views on the way - in the dark.
Christos made us very welcome and ensured everything was to our satisfaction.
The scenery is stunning and the island very quiet and unassuming. Wonderful beaches to be found for a quiet swim and snorkeling.
We hope to return soon.

Beautiful villa.

Lovely place. Modern and immaculate. Very clean. Views stunning and nicely placed for a swim in the warm waters of the bay and visiting the four local tavernas. Air con efficient and quiet. We walked up to the fortress every morning and sunbathed and swam in the afternoon. Patio delightful for sunbathing and watching the boats mooring up below. Assos is a small village but has everything you would want for a relaxing holiday. Katarina was there if required but didn't intrude. She ran through everything on arrival and was nearby if we needed her. We commented to her about the absence of a pool and she said you don't need one. You have the sea. She was so right. It was calm and warm. Bob from Greek Island Retreats dealt with deposit and payment very efficiently and responded quickly to our queries beforehand. He also provided clear driving instructions. Highly recommended.
